Oregon launches free permit-ready deck plan to speed up building
Buyer activity has picked up slightly with the warmer weather and the start of the summer season around Memorial Day. I've seen an increase in calls on my listings, along with more out-of-town buyers beginning their home search in Central Oregon. That said, while things feel busier, it's still a bit sluggish when it comes to getting deals across the finish line. Buyers remain more cautious and indecisive than in past seasons, and many are negotiating harder and requesting more repairs due to higher interest rates. Meanwhile, sellers are feeling the pressure as listing inventory is high and homes are sitting on the market longer than in previous years. We're still seeing steady sales, but it's taking a little more give-and-take on both sides to make it a win-win. Feel free to reach out if you'd like insights tailored to your neighborhood, price point or specific scenario. Enjoy the sunshine! - Greg
