Recent news and public attention these days has been circling around the discussion of recession. From my day to day conversations with clients, I know that for many homeowners or those looking to make a move, it can be concerning news. With such fast change over the last few months, uncertainty has caused many to pause and wait to see how things shake out. All in all, it’s important to understand that this is a natural rebalancing and most importantly that history proves an economic slowdown does not equal a housing crisis! Often times, it has proved the opposite - take a look at the chart below and keep in mind the contributing factors to 2008. Lastly, we received this month's Beacon reports and updated stats for our markets. Take a look at the graphs below and see how different Bend and Redmond are from one another.
