The market this past week in Bend has shown signs of softening. In general, homes are no longer selling first day on the market or receiving multiple offers over asking. Interest rates could have Buyers taking their foot off the gas or maybe we are just witnessing the calm before the storm. Personally, I believe that this is the beginning of a re-balancing period in the market. Appreciation has already slowed and hopefully inventory is primed to fill in over the next few months. Buyers will have to reanalyze their buying position and Sellers will have to be very in tune with what is happening in the market to stay competitive.
